Photo: PDP ships in hard currency to power election

The Directorate of Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organization (PDPPCO) denied an allegation by the All Progressives Congress (APC) that a plan was stirring to implicate the opposition party with a huge amount of US dollars being ferried into Nigeria.

The APC had alleged in a statement by its spokesperson, Lai Mohammed, on Thursday, that the hard currency being shipped into Nigeria by an unnamed group would be hanged on it (APC) as the conveyor.

But the Director PDP Campaign Organization, Femi Fani-Kayode, dismissed the allegation, stating rather that the APC leaders should get ready to face the full wrath of the law if they violated any law.

Fani-Kayode, who described the allegation as another set of lie fabricated by the APC, said the party’s leaders should let the people know if they were planning to bring in some hard currencies into the country with a view to using it for the coming election
